(For the Nebraskan) Copy sent to Prof. Filley

The Palladians have again been disturbed by a rumor that various University organizations are looking coveteously at Palladian Hall and have a movement under way that seeks to disturb the Society's priority claim. In order to set at rest any feeling of uneasiness among Palladians old and new Chancellor Avery authorizes the Nebraskan to state that in view of the generous contributions the Palladians were given by Chancellor Andrews and the committee having the building in charge perpetual use of the hall which they occupy. There had never been the slightest disposition on the part of the Chancellor of the Regents to question the rights of the Society to occupy and control this room just as they have ever since the building was erected.
