Throughout campus, students can easily locate the same blue emergency telephones that were installed 20 years ago.In addition to the telephones, UNL has increased security even further.In the resident halls, the doors are locked from 12 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. and to enter he halls students must be verified by scanning their student I.D. outside the entrance door. Not only does the UNL Police force actively control crime, but just the constant visibility of officers throughout campus day and night deters prospective criminals.
