Professor Šárka Hrbková chairman of the Slavonic Department seated on the bottom row, second from the right. In this 1910 Cornhusker entry the club mentions its involvement in memorializing the first chairman of the Slavic Language Department Jeffery B. Hrbek. He was also Šárka Hrbková's older brother. The federation of Komensky clubs was in the process of raising money to provide Hrbek with a memorial in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids Iowa where he was buried.
