Gentlemen:
Compliant with the suggestion of Colonel Jewett, I wish to ask you to act as a standing committee to determine in which public activities the band should participate and the method of raising funds when such may be necessary to send the band away from Lincoln to the interests of the University, notably to attend football games or to represent the University in any public way.
