To all Members of the Instructional Staff:
Will you do a splendid favor for one or more of your student friends? It's easy, but very important.
Very likely you come in contact regularly with a few students whose intelligence is primarily factual, and who are socially dormant. Probably they have few friends, are not interested in associating with other students, are timid, perhaps narrow--you know the type, and you also know the handicap under which they will work when facing business competition.
The Union program can help these students. We don't aspire to make social lions or activity men or women out of them, but we do believe we can help develop social intelligence--practical, creative and appreciative.
Please send us names now, and from time to time in the future. Of course we will not tell them of your favor, but we will invite these students to our music listening hours; we will teach them games; we will introduce them to other students; we will attempt to broaden them in other ways. We sincerely believe we can help them learn how to adapt themselves readily to the tasks which confront them now and later.
Thank you for helping the Union serve its purpose.
