Hokuf Named to Grid Hall
Steve Hokuf, one of the greatest all-around athletes to atend [sic] Nebraska, has been named to the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame.
A star end for the Huskers of 1929-32, Hokuf was elevated to Hall status by acclamation of the Board, Nebraska Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Hokuf will be inducted into the Nebraska Shrine at halftime of the Husker-Florida State game in Memorial Stadium next October 4th.
After Hokuf's playing days at Nebraska, he went on to play for the Boston Redskins in the pro ranks. He was named honorable mention on the 1934 All-Pro team.
Joining Hokuf in receiving Honors at the Hall of Fame Event will be Elmer Dohrmann, Forrest Behm, Mick Tinglehoff, Burt Matthies, and Al Papik, Lyell Bremser, John K. Selleck and Charles Washington will receive special honors.
