Society called to order by vice pres. Miss Moore. as. Pres. Fletcher was absent. The future President D.E. Forsythe was escorted to the chair by a couple of P.G.D.C.'s He made a short speech. The Class for the evening consisted of

Debate. Greek vs. Roman civilization Cooley, af. Wm Brown Neg. The debate was very interesting as it was carried on by the disputants in the original Greek and Latin languages.

Recess.

Moved by [Bush] Hurt we talk over the Hesperian election. amended by Woods & limited by motion of Tinker that we Hold a caucus, limited to 30 min. Moved by Fifer that we go in to election prepared to support if necessary an amendment for 7 editors two from each society and one from new soc. if it is formed next year. the society having ed-in-chief to have but one. carried 40-8

Moved by Fletcher that we discuss new. soc. question. carried. after some discussion Fifer moved that committee be appointed by pres. consisting of 6, 3 being seniors to attend to selecting members for new soc. &c&c. carried. Pres. appointed Pizny, Eagleson, Bush, Fifer, Misses Aughey & Wolfe as such a committee Adjourned as Janitor turned off the gas.

Debate that the Okalhoma Lands should not be opened to actual settlement Aff. Mr. Belt, Neg. Mr. McKnilt. as McKnilt did not appear, Pres. called upon O.W. Fifer to take his place. which he did With His usual readiness for duty, Fifer came forward and Debate proceeded, H.A. Reese gave us a Baritone solo between the aff. & neg. Speeches.
