The balance Eight hun—dred and fifty four dollars to be placed to Land Warrant a/c Warrants left by me in the other districts not heard from. 160 selling now @ 148 to 152. I sell nearly all the Warrants sold in

town. No speculations entering land here. Have not opened the Package of Warrants brought by Walker. Think Walker had better come out as soon as possible, with full instructions to take back the Warrants if they cannot be sold. The demand will be better next month. Am doing all I can and shall go South next week. It is a big thing and I am disposed to help you boys thro[sic] even if I get nothing
