MILITARY BAND HAS MEMBERSHIP OF 104

Limited Supply of Uniforms Necessitates Cutting Number Down

The largest band in the history of the University of Nebraska is enrolled this year. There are one-hundred and four members with only about ninety uniforms.
The University is overflowing with musicians this year. Lieutenant Colonel F. F. Jewett, head of the military science department, said that only those who can march correctly will be allowed to remain in the band. The ones who cannot march will be transferred to the drill companies so they may learn to march.
The band will drill every day now so that they may make a good appearance at parades and football games and uphold Nebraska spirit. Col. Jewett hopes to have the peppiest band in the history of the school this year.
