Friend Morton

In August last you wrote me you would send me $100# and I requested you so to do. Since then I have not heard from you. Will you not send it to me now here, as it would be a very opportune payment. I trust you will not neglect this, Morton.

I will not bore you with a letter as you have several of mine unanswered, but I do wish to be kindly remembered to your esteemed wife.
