Friend John
I enclose you some other securities for the loan. The Mortgage to father, is only for convenience and is mine as much as any thing and I have a full power of Attorney from him to attend to all these matters. The Mortgage to me is perfectly good and will be paid. The Tousely Mortgage bears only ten per cent after maturity, this is our understanding. If he gets the land I spoke about it is the best of security and now it holds two lots and a good house costing $2000#. I have delayed the Bluff Mortgage to hear from you, You can send the $2000 and if you want the Bluff Mortgage, I will make it out & record. The other you may send to the Recorder or to me and I will record it.
The notes I have and as they are useless without the Mortgage, will send to you when desired.
