I have sold Land Warrants No 13,263 @ 95 and herewith enclose you to be applied on Land Warrant a/c. Letter of credit from Post Office Department dated May 23d for transport—ing mails on Route No 14008 for $136.25 which you will please sell and advise me of the amount received therefor [sic]. I have received it in that way from a responsible man and he will be satis—fied with whatever it will bring.
Warrants are dull at $.90 cts. I see they sell in N.Y. @ 80. The above credit has no connection with sale of Warrant I having received Gold therefor [sic].
