Dear Sir:

Yours of the — is recieved, and as I have no letters to answer I will congratulate you on the election which confers upon you the above title. I have full confidence in your ability as Cashr or lawyer and know well that Bank will divide under your direction large dividends. "Long may you rain."

Cashr Kellogg will probably like the "Back Room of the Central Bank of Troy" better than "an Office on Farnham St." I know he will. I wish you success John and hope soon to hear from you. Considerable property changed hands last week, but I couldn't get the "strangers" as they were hooked by old friends.

Yours in haste

Mac
