HUSKER BAND PRAISED IN NEW YORK ARTICLE
Possibility of Visit East Welcomed By Eastern Publication
Nebraska’s band, as well as her football team, as received a great deal of notice in the east if we may take the following article from the Sunday edition of the New York Times as evidence:
“Nebraska’s band, one of the best, among the mid-Western universities, will entertain the crowd at the Nebraska-Army football game at West Point on Nov. 24 with its well-executed manoeuvres on the field and its stirring tunes. Undergraduates and eastern alumni are raising funds so that the 100-piece Cornhusker student organization may journey from Lincoln along with the Nebraska squad. In addition to the band, about 1,000 rooters will accompany the players on a special train which has been chartered for the round trip. The team will stay at West Point, while the band and rooters will have quarters in New York.”
