“…not departmental.

As the band has become a University organization it is believed that the entire support of it should not fall to one department. Especially is this true of the Military Department as the members of its staff are so transient that they are not in a position to determine the best methods for raising funds.

It is believed that there should be some permanent committee, representing the various interest that use the band, to assume the responsibilities for raising money for the upkeep of the band uniforms and for funds for defraying its expense when making trips with the football team.
