Dear Mr. Jaenike:

Prof Dennis Schneider and his Jazz Lab Band were a great thing for the Verdigre Community. I was amazed at the wide variety of our people who attended their evening concert, and then also actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Northeast Nebraska is a great place to live, but we must admit that we need to expand our cultural environment. Your N. U. Jazz Lab Band tour helps us greatly to pursue our goal.

The professional abilities of Prof Schneider, and also his musicians, spur our young people to greater individual accomplishments themselves. The band members conducted themselves in a most respectful way while in Verdigre. I'm sure our older citizens were impressed, and gained a better understanding of them in person, than is often portrayed in newspaper accounts regarding college students.

Thank you for your efforts of coordination, to make the Jazz Lab Band tour possible. We hope you will allow them to come again next year!

Sincerely,
C. J. Marshall, Pres.
