Dr. Lowry C. Wimberly was an English professor at the University of Nebraska-Licoln. His first year at the university was in 1917. Later on he became the editor of the Prairie Schooner, a publication that was very popular not only among the university but nation-wide. The Schooner's first year of publication was 1927 and is still being published today (Lowry).
