Burr Hall opened in 1957, and by 1960 it was a co-ed Residence Hall.  The Hall has two towers, the East being all female while the West tower is all male.  The two towers have a shared basement and are connected on the first floor as well, though a welcome area separates the male and female halves of the floor.
